Three New Stores Store Concept WFM | Philadelphia Center City, PA — Store detail from the perspective of the second-level beer garden. The beer garden's elevated seating area also gives a spectacular view to downtown Philadelphia.

Whole Foods Market Stores announced the fall openings for three new stores; MV+A has been completing the design and construction administration for all three stores. The elegant interior architecture decisions for these stores include vendor-style food stalls, a coffee bar and seating area, and a glass atrium cafe. STAFF INTRODUCTION

With a Master of Architecture from Tulane, Kuan Lo, AIA, hails from New Orleans and joined MV+A this past September. He has spent time in Mid-Atlantic before, though, where he happened upon the photo below. Kuan explained, “I took the photo this summer at Harper’s Ferry historical park in West Virginia. I just like the composition between stone façade, shadow and the mountain behind.”
